I. Pre-calibration Preparations
1. Environmental Requirements
Select an environment with a stable temperature (20-25°C) and no strong airflow or electromagnetic interference. Avoid direct sunlight or air conditioning vents.
2. Equipment Inspection
Confirm that the sphygmomanometer is externally undamaged, the dial scale is clear, and the needle returns to zero properly.
Check that the cuff is intact and leak-free, and that the airbag inflates and deflates properly.
II. Calibration Procedures
1. Comparison Calibration Method
Use a standard mercury sphygmomanometer or a certified calibrator for comparison measurements, recording both sets of data simultaneously. If the deviation exceeds the allowable range (systolic pressure ±5 mmHg, diastolic pressure ±2 mmHg), adjustments or repairs are required.
2. Airtightness Test
Close the air valve, squeeze the airbag, and observe whether the needle rises steadily. Release the airbag, and the needle should slowly descend without any leaks. 3. Scale Calibration
Use a professional calibration tool to enter the standard pressure value and align the mechanical dial pointer with the standard value.
III. Special Precautions
1. Regular Calibration Frequency
It is recommended to calibrate at least once a year. Calibrate immediately after frequent use or abnormal readings.
2. Suitable for Special Populations
Elderly: Apply the cuff gently to avoid overtightening and causing errors.
Pregnant women/children: Use a dedicated cuff size and pay attention to the measurement posture during calibration.
3. Maintenance and Recordkeeping
After calibration, record the date, deviation value, and adjustment measures.
Avoid dropping or contact with corrosive substances. Store in a dry environment.
