1. Inaccurate pressure measurement
Reason: After long-term use, the spring tube of the sphygmomanometer may become fatigued and deformed, resulting in inaccurate pressure transmission; the cuff is leaking, aging or inappropriate in size, and the pressure cannot be transmitted correctly; there is a leak in the inflatable balloon or valve, so that the pressure cannot be maintained stably; the transmission mechanism inside the sphygmomanometer is worn and loose, affecting the accurate transmission and measurement of pressure.
Performance: The measured blood pressure value deviates greatly from the actual value, the results of multiple measurements are unstable, or there is a significant difference from the measurement results of other accurate sphygmomanometers.
2. Pointer problem
Reason: Loose pointer shaft, friction between pointer and dial, inaccurate dial scale, damage or deformation of hairspring, etc. will affect the normal operation of the pointer.
Performance: The pointer is not flexible, and it is stuck or jumping during the measurement process, and it cannot accurately indicate the pressure value; after the measurement is completed, the pointer cannot return to zero, affecting the accuracy of the next measurement.
3. Leakage problem
Reason: The cuff is aged or damaged, or the rubber tube at the connection is aged or cracked, resulting in gas leakage; the inflatable balloon is damaged and the valve is not tightly sealed, which can also cause leakage.
Performance: During the inflation process, an obvious leaking sound can be heard, and the cuff cannot maintain a stable pressure, resulting in the measurement not being able to proceed normally or inaccurate measurement results.
4. Blurred or damaged dial
Reason: Long-term exposure to dust and humidity will accumulate dirt and water vapor on the surface of the dial, resulting in blurriness; improper use, such as collision and squeezing, may cause the dial to crack or be damaged.
Performance: The scale is difficult to see clearly, and the value indicated by the pointer cannot be accurately read, affecting the interpretation of the measurement results.
5. Inflatable balloon failure
Reason: The inflatable balloon is frequently used, and the rubber is prone to aging and cracking; the internal one-way valve is damaged, resulting in the inability of the gas to flow normally in one direction during inflation.
Symptoms: It feels very laborious to press the inflatable balloon, or it cannot be inflated normally; when you release your hand after inflation, the balloon cannot rebound quickly, affecting the inflation efficiency and measurement operation.
6. Connection tube problem
Reason: The connection tube is bent and twisted for a long time, and is prone to aging and rupture; the connectors at both ends are loose and fall off, which will cause gas leakage or poor pressure transmission.
Symptoms: When measuring, you can find that there is a sound of gas leakage in the connection tube, or the pressure cannot be normally transmitted to the cuff and pressure gauge through the connection tube, making the measurement impossible.
