1. Storage environment
Appropriate temperature: The Aneroid Sphygmomanometer should be stored in an environment with a temperature of 10℃-35℃. Too high a temperature may cause the internal components of the sphygmomanometer to age and deform, while too low a temperature may cause the elasticity of the elastic components to decrease, affecting the measurement accuracy.
Appropriate humidity: It is ideal to keep the ambient humidity at 30%-80%. Too high a humidity can easily cause the inside of the sphygmomanometer to get damp, causing problems such as rust on components and circuit failures; too low a humidity may make some plastic parts brittle and easy to crack.
Dry and ventilated: Place the sphygmomanometer in a dry and ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and humid environments, such as bathrooms and kitchens. You can choose to place it in a special medical equipment cabinet or a dry drawer to prevent dust, water vapor, etc. from entering.
2. Regular cleaning
Appearance cleaning: Wipe the outer shell of the sphygmomanometer with a soft damp cloth regularly to remove dust and stains on the surface. If there are stubborn stains, use a small amount of mild detergent, but avoid the detergent from entering the inside of the sphygmomanometer. For the cuff, you can use a neutral detergent to clean it, and then dry it naturally. Do not expose it to the sun or dry it in a tumble dryer to avoid damaging the cuff material.
Internal cleaning: Every once in a while (such as 3-6 months), open the outer shell of the sphygmomanometer and use a clean soft brush or the cold air setting of a hair dryer to clean the dust inside. Be careful when cleaning to avoid touching or damaging the internal components and circuits.
3. Check the components
Cuff inspection: Before and after each use, check whether the cuff is damaged, leaking, aging and hardening. You can judge whether it is leaking by inflating the cuff and observing whether the pressure can be maintained. If there is a problem with the cuff, it should be replaced in time.
Inflatable balloon and valve inspection: Check whether the inflatable balloon is damaged or deformed, whether it is elastic when pressed, whether the deflation valve can control the deflation speed normally, and whether there is any leakage. If there is a problem, it needs to be repaired or replaced in time.
Pressure gauge inspection: Observe whether the pointer of the pressure gauge can rotate flexibly and whether it can accurately return to zero. If the pointer is stuck or the return to zero is inaccurate, calibration or repair may be required.
4. Regular calibration
Calibration cycle: It is generally recommended to send the Aneroid Sphygmomanometer to a professional metrology agency for calibration every six months to one year to ensure the accuracy of its measurements. If it is used frequently or requires high measurement accuracy, the calibration cycle can be shortened appropriately.
Calibration method: The sphygmomanometer can be calibrated by comparing it with a calibrated standard sphygmomanometer, or by using a standard pressure source. Follow the operating instructions of the calibration equipment and adjust or repair the Aneroid Sphygmomanometer according to the calibration results.
