If the problem persists after adjustments, consider the following:

1. Complete Failure of Core Functions: Unable to power on, unable to charge/depress, screen completely blank/missing strokes making reading impossible;
2. Severely Exceeding Accuracy Standards: Compared to standard hospital equipment, the difference consistently exceeds 10 mmHg, or three consecutive measurements show fluctuations exceeding 20 mmHg. After ruling out operational issues, this indicates sensor failure;
3. Structural Damage: Cracked casing, persistent air leakage in the gas line, mercury leakage in the mercury sphygmomanometer;
4. Frequent Faults: The same problem reappears shortly after repair, indicating a decline in overall equipment performance.
⚠️ Temporary Observation and Prioritize Calibration:
If the measurement results show only slight deviations (difference between 5-10 mmHg), and the equipment can complete the measurement process normally, repair is unnecessary. Sending it to a local metrology institution for calibration will restore accuracy; disassembly and repair are not required.
Step 3: Make a final judgment based on costs. If the repair cost is close to or even exceeds the price of purchasing a new blood pressure monitor of the same specifications (the price of a new ordinary home blood pressure monitor is mostly between 100-300 yuan), it is more cost-effective to directly replace the device with a new one, as the cost-effectiveness of repair is very low.
