Cleaning Frequency

1. Daily Use: It is recommended to clean the exterior and test area once a week.

2. Frequent Use or Shared Use: Cleaning can be reduced to once every 3 days, or even a simple wipe after each use.

3. Long-Term Storage: Remove the battery, clean with a dry cloth, and store in a dry place.

Cleaning Steps

1. Preparation: Turn off the meter and prepare 75% alcohol wipes (or cotton balls), dry cotton wipes (or tissues), and cotton swabs.

2. Clean the Test Area: Gently wipe the test strip slot and blood collection point with an alcohol wipe, wiping in one direction only, avoiding back-and-forth rubbing.

Wait for it to dry completely (about 2 minutes) before use.

3. Clean the Meter Body: Wipe the outer casing, buttons, and crevices with an alcohol wipe.

Dry with a dry cotton wipe, ensuring no alcohol residue remains.

4. Cleaning the lancet (optional): Remove the lancet and wipe the tip and cap with a 75% alcohol swab.

Use an alcohol-soaked cotton swab to gently wipe the lancet channel.

Let it air dry before reassembling.

Important Precautions

1. Do not use: chemical cleaners, soaking agents, corrosive liquids, or sugar-based disinfectants.

2. Focus of cleaning: the test area and lancet channel; avoid bloodstains and dust affecting the results.

3. After cleaning: Always wait for the instrument to dry completely before use or loading test strips.

Relationship between cleaning and accuracy: Regular cleaning reduces interference from bloodstains and dust on the optical sensor, preventing readings from being too high or too low. If results are still abnormal after cleaning, check the test strips, calibrate, or contact the manufacturer.
