Recommended Calibration Frequency
1. Routine Calibration: It is recommended to calibrate every 3-6 months. If the instrument is of good quality and used infrequently, it can be calibrated every 6 months; if the quality is average or it is used frequently, it is recommended to calibrate every 3 months.
2. Special Circumstances: If used multiple times a day, if there are large changes in ambient temperature and humidity, or if the test results fluctuate significantly, it is recommended to shorten the calibration period to every 1-2 weeks. Calibration should also be performed immediately upon first use, when replacing a new batch of test strips, when the instrument is dropped, or when the results are abnormal.
Calibration Method
1. Using Calibration Solution: Perform the test using the provided calibration solution according to the instructions.
2. Hospital Comparison: After drawing venous blood, immediately measure the finger prick blood with the blood glucose meter and compare the results (the difference should be ≤0.83mmol/L for blood glucose <5.5mmol/L; the difference should be ≤15% for blood glucose ≥5.5mmol/L).
Precautions
1. Clean the instrument regularly to avoid blood stains or dust affecting the sensor.
2. Avoid using in low temperature (<10℃) or high temperature (>40℃) environments.
