1. Avoid interference:
Make sure that the hose of the stethoscope does not touch clothing or other objects to avoid interference from external noise.
The patient should remain quiet and avoid talking or coughing.
2. Gentle operation:
Place the chest piece of the stethoscope gently on the examination site, and avoid pressing hard to avoid affecting the sound conduction.
The movement should be gentle during operation to avoid causing discomfort to the patient.
3. Comparative auscultation:
For auscultation of the lungs and abdomen, both sides should be compared, and the difference in sound should be noted.
If abnormal sound is found on one side, the other side should be further checked for confirmation.
4. Detailed records:
When recording the auscultation results, the type, location, intensity and nature of the sound should be recorded in detail.
If necessary, a comprehensive judgment can be made in combination with other examination results.
5. Regular calibration:
Check the performance of the stethoscope regularly to ensure that it is in good condition.
If the stethoscope is found to be damaged or leaking, it should be replaced or repaired in time.
