Wearing Steps
1. Confirm the direction of the eartubes:
Position the protruding part of the eartubes (or the side with the arrow marking) facing forward. The metal eartubes should be tilted forward at approximately 15 degrees, aligning with the natural angle of the ear canal.
2. Adjust the eartube tension:
Gently pull the eartubes outward to ensure the eartips fit snugly against the outer ear canal, preventing sound leakage or external noise interference. If the eartips do not fit tightly against the ear canal, further adjustment of the tension may be needed.
3. Check the auscultation effect:
After wearing, gently tap the stethoscope head. If the sound is clear (like the clear sound of "a peeled egg"), it indicates correct wearing. If no sound is heard, check if the eartubes are worn backward or if the eartips are not properly sealed.
Precautions
1. Environmental requirements: Auscultation should be performed in a quiet, warm environment, avoiding auscultation through clothing to reduce noise.
2. Patient cooperation: The patient should remain calm during auscultation, avoiding talking or moving.
3. Equipment maintenance: Regularly check the stethoscope tubing and eartips for damage, and avoid contact with corrosive substances during storage.
