1. Multiple measurements: Under the same conditions, the same person is measured multiple times (usually 2-3 times), with an interval of 1-2 minutes between each measurement. If the results of multiple measurements are similar, it means that the results may be more accurate.
2. Comparison with previous data: If the person has a previous blood pressure measurement record, the current measurement result can be compared with it. If the difference is not large and within the normal fluctuation range, the result may be more reliable.
3. Standardization of the measurement process:
Ensure that the person is fully rested before the measurement, avoid strenuous exercise, smoking, drinking coffee or strong tea, etc.
The position and tightness of the cuff are appropriate, the chest piece of the stethoscope is placed accurately, and the inflation and deflation speeds are moderate.
4. Experience and skills of the observer: The observer should be professionally trained, familiar with the measurement method and auscultation skills, and able to accurately identify the sound characteristics of systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
5. Accuracy of the equipment: The sphygmomanometer should be calibrated and tested regularly to ensure the accuracy of its measurement results.
6. State of the person being measured: The person being measured should remain relaxed during measurement, with the arm position at the same level as the heart.
