Operating Steps:
1. Cuff Preparation: Before measurement, ensure there is no residual air inside the cuff. Place the lower edge of the cuff (edge of the bladder) 2-3 cm above the elbow crease, aligning the center of the bladder with the brachial artery pulsation point on the inner side of the upper arm.
2. Adjusting Tightness: The cuff should be tight enough to easily insert one finger.
3. Securement and Check: Fasten the buckle to ensure the cuff fits smoothly and snugly. During measurement, relax your arm naturally, keeping the cuff at the same level as your heart.
Key Points:
1. Position: The lower edge of the cuff should be 2-3 cm from the elbow crease. Too high, and the reading will be too low; too low, and the reading will be too high.
2. Tightness: Too tight, and the blood vessel will be compressed, resulting in a low reading; too loose, and the bladder will over-inflate, resulting in a high reading.
3. Environment: Sit quietly for 5-10 minutes before measurement, avoiding exercise, smoking, or caffeine consumption.
