Instructions for Use

1. Preparation: Wrap the cuff around the patient's upper arm, with the lower edge 2-3 cm from the elbow crease.

2. Positioning: Place the chest piece of the stethoscope over the brachial artery pulsation.

3. Inflation: Squeeze the inflatable tube with one hand to raise the pressure until the radial artery pulsation disappears, then increase it by another 20-30 mmHg.

4. Deflating: Slowly open the deflation valve to lower the pressure at a rate of 2-3 mmHg/second.

5. Reading: The systolic pressure is when the first Korotkoff sound is heard; the diastolic pressure is when the sound disappears.

6. Recording: Read and record the pressure gauge reading.

Maintenance and Care

1. Regular Calibration: It is recommended that the accuracy be calibrated by a professional every 6-12 months.

2. Cleaning and Disinfection: Wipe the outer casing with a neutral detergent. The cuff can be washed and disinfected.

3. Storage Environment: Avoid high temperature, humidity, and strong magnetic field environments.

4. Inspection and Replacement: Regularly check the tubing connections and cuff seals.

Usage Precautions

1. Regular Calibration: To ensure long-term accuracy, it is recommended to have the device calibrated by a professional institution or service center every 6-12 months.

2. Correct Wearing: The cuff should be wrapped around the upper arm above bare or thin clothing, with the lower edge approximately 2-3 cm from the elbow crease. The cuff should be tight enough to allow one finger to be inserted between the elbow and the arm.

3. Standard Operation: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement, keeping your arm at the same level as your heart. The stethoscope head should be accurately placed over the brachial artery pulse.

4. Maintenance: Avoid dropping, exposing the device to moisture, high temperatures, or direct sunlight. Store properly in the storage box after use.
