Instructions for use

1.Before taking the patient's temperature,check whether the column of liquid is below 36C.
2.Clean the thermometer before and after each use.In doing so,please pay attention to the""Notes on Cleaning""below.
3.Position the thermometer on the body according to the method of measurement to beused (axillary,rectal or oral)
4.After about 4 minutes the thermometer will have reached the body temperature.Themeasuring fluid in the measurement capillary of the thermometer shows the measuredbody temperature on the temperature scale.
The temperature can be read off by rotating the thermometer gently to and fro.
5.After measuring,the liquid must be returned to the bottom of the scale.To do this,holdthe thermometer as close as possible to the upper end and shake it with 15 to 20 rapidwrist movements.

How to use a Mercury-free Thermometer with Magnifying glass

Oral measurement:
Place the thermometer under the tongue.
Wait 3-5 minutes (or as recommended by the manufacturer).
Use a magnifying glass to read the temperature.
Axillary measurement:
Place the thermometer under the armpit.
Hold the arm close to the body and wait 5-10 minutes.
Use a magnifying glass to read the temperature.
Rectal measurement:
Lubricate the tip with petroleum jelly.
Gently insert the thermometer into the rectum (for infants and young children).
Wait 3-5 minutes and then use a magnifying glass to read the temperature.
