Home Medical Sphygmomanometer is a home medical device that is usually used to measure blood pressure. This device usually consists of a cuff, a balloon, and a manometer. When used, the cuff is tied to the upper arm of the person being measured, and then air is injected into the cuff through the balloon, gradually increasing the pressure until the blood flow in the blood vessel is blocked. Then, the air in the balloon is gradually released, and the doctor or user uses the scale on the manometer to measure the systolic and diastolic blood pressure values, which are usually measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
