Basic Single Head Stethoscope

The Basic Single Head Stethoscope comes with a diaphragm (chest piece) for general auscultation, which is used to listen to body sounds, mainly heartbeat and lung sounds. It is lightweight and simple to use, making it ideal for basic clinical examinations, such as heart, lung or bowel sounds.

 

 

 

1.Chestpiece: This is the part that contacts the patient's body. It is usually a single-sided diaphragm, a flat, round material that transmits sound vibrations. The diaphragm is usually made of metal or plastic.
2.Conduit: The duct connects the chestpiece and the earbuds. It is usually made of flexible rubber or plastic and is designed to effectively transmit sound from the chestpiece to the listener's ears.
3.Earbuds: These are the parts that are worn on the user's ears. They are usually made of soft rubber or silicone to ensure a comfortable fit and good sound transmission.

When the chestpiece is placed on the patient's body, sound waves from internal organs are picked up by the diaphragm.
These sound waves are then transmitted through a tube to the earpiece, which the medical staff can hear.
The diaphragm is designed to pick up high-frequency sounds, such as heartbeats and breathing sounds.
