A portable electronic sphygmomanometer is a digital device used to measure blood pressure. It is more modern and easier to use than traditional manual sphygmomanometers (aneroid or mercury-based), making it widely used in clinics and at home. Electronic sphygmomanometers automate the measurement process, providing accurate and consistent results with minimal user input.

1. Select the appropriate cuff size:
Select a cuff that fits your arm circumference to ensure an accurate reading.
2. Cuff Positioning:
Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, just above the elbow, ensuring a snug but not tight fit. The tubing should run along the inside of your arm.
3. Start Measurement:
Press the power button to turn on the device, then press the start button to begin the measurement. The device will automatically inflate and deflate the cuff.
4. Wait for the Reading:
Remain still and relax your arm during the measurement. The reading will be displayed after the measurement is complete, which usually takes only a few seconds.
5. Record or Save Results:
If the device has a memory function, the results will be saved for future reference.
6. Power Off:
Please turn off the device after use to conserve battery power.
