Description

Aneroid Manual Sphygmomanometer is a common manual blood pressure measurement tool used for accurate measurement of blood pressure. It uses a mechanical principle, employing components such as a rubber cuff, air pump, and pressure gauge to detect blood pressure. Compared to electronic blood pressure monitors, Aneroid blood pressure monitors do not rely on batteries or a power supply, making them suitable for use in environments without power. They are widely used in hospitals, clinics, emergency equipment, and home healthcare.

Key Points for Use

1. Preparation before measurement: Sit quietly for 5 minutes, with your arm at heart level.

2. Cuff application: The lower edge of the cuff should be 2-3 cm from the elbow crease, with a suitable tightness.

3. Inflation and deflation: Inflate rapidly until the radial artery pulse disappears, then add 30 mmHg; deflate at a steady rate (2-3 mmHg/second).

4. Auscultation reading: The first sound heard is the systolic pressure; the silence after the sound is heard is the diastolic pressure.

5. Maintenance: Avoid violent vibrations; perform regular calibration and checks.

Precautions

When using, ensure the cuff fits snugly against the skin, avoiding excessive tightness or looseness.

Calibrate the pressure gauge regularly to ensure accuracy.

Before use, check that the air pump is working properly and that the release valve is unobstructed.
