Product composition

1. Blood pressure cuff: The blood pressure cuff is used to wrap around the child's upper arm or wrist to measure blood pressure. To ensure accuracy and comfort, the blood pressure cuff is usually made of soft material and is of moderate size to fit the child's arm or wrist.
2. Rubber pump: The rubber pump is the part used to inflate the blood pressure cuff. By squeezing the rubber pump, the user can inject gas into the cuff to make it fit tightly on the child's arm or wrist.
3. Sphygmomanometer: The sphygmomanometer is the part used to measure blood pressure values. It usually includes a pointer or digital display that shows the values of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Some modern sphygmomanometers may also have automatic inflation and measurement functions to make operation more convenient.

How to use - correct measurement method

1. Prior to the activation of the blood pressure gauge, a thorough examination should be conducted. A functioning blood pressure gauge typically rests with its dial at "0," exhibiting responsive flexibility under pressure, and it should return to its original "0" position once released.
2. The subject is instructed to sit beside a table, gently resting their left arm on its surface, maintaining a relaxed posture.
3. Position the arm so it is level with the heart; if the height is insufficient, a soft cushion can be placed beneath the arm.
4. Flatten the arm band with the midpoint aligned with the brachial artery, securing it around the upper arm about 2 to 3 cm above the elbow crease. It should neither be too tight nor too loose, allowing room for two fingers to fit comfortably underneath to ensure accuracy.
5. Insert the stethoscope's listening head into the arm band, placing it over the brachial artery at the elbow.
6. Gently inflate the arm band with the rubber bulb while attentively listening, ceasing inflation once the pulsation of the brachial artery ceases, then increase the pressure by 2.5kPa-4kPa (20mmHg-30mmHg).
7. Following the cessation of inflation, slowly release the air from the arm band at a rate of 0.3kPa-0.6kPa (2mmHg-4mmHg) per second, causing the pointer of the blood pressure gauge to gradually decline.
8. As the pointer descends, the pressure value indicated when each pulsation sound is heard through the stethoscope corresponds to the systolic pressure.
9. When the pulsations gradually intensify into murmurs, followed by a sudden muffled change in tone and eventual disappearance of sound, the point at which the heartbeat sounds are no longer audible signifies the diastolic pressure.

*When measuring blood pressure, it is generally recommended to repeat the process 2 to 3 times and then average the readings obtained to determine the blood pressure value.
