The Upper Arm BP Monitor is a smart electronic blood pressure monitor designed specifically for home health management. It uses advanced upper arm cuff measurement technology, adheres to clinical medical measurement standards, and provides accurate and reliable blood pressure and heart rate data. It is easy to operate, provides clear readings, and is ideal for daily blood pressure monitoring, prevention, and management of hypertension.
Instrustions
1. Preparation: Sit comfortably in a quiet environment with your feet flat on the floor. Rest for 5 minutes. Slide the cuff onto your bare upper arm, positioning the bottom edge about 2-3 cm above your elbow.
2. Positioning: Secure the cuff snugly using the Velcro strap or the D-ring. Place the stethoscope's earpieces in your ears and gently press the chestpiece (head) over the pulse point on the inner side of your arm, just below the cuff.
3. Measuring: Close the air valve on the bulb by turning it clockwise. Inflate the cuff by repeatedly squeezing the bulb until the gauge reads about 30-40 mmHg above your expected systolic pressure.
4. Reading: Slowly open the valve to release air. As the pressure drops, listen for the first pulse sound (systolic pressure) and note the point where it disappears (diastolic pressure) on the gauge.
5. Completion: Open the valve fully to deflate the cuff completely after reading. Gently remove the cuff and stethoscope.
Precautions for Use
Preparation Before Measurement
Sit quietly for 5-10 minutes before measurement, avoiding exercise, smoking, alcohol, and caffeine.
Ensure the cuff is at the same level as your heart.
Correct Wearing Method
Expose your upper arm, with the lower edge of the cuff 2-3 cm from the elbow crease. Align the center of the cuff with the brachial artery (inner side of the upper arm).
The cuff should be tight enough to allow one finger to be inserted.
Measurement Procedure
Remain quiet; do not talk or move.
It is recommended to take 2-3 measurements consecutively and take the average value.
Allow 1-2 minutes between measurements.
